Did anyone else see that ESPN has ranked at 19 in their most recent “Way too early rankings?”

As stated -We should play Titans NOT out of loyalty to the old MCC, Horizon or any other league-- Instead Loyalty to one of our oldest partners !! They will be rising soon--Dropping a non Di 1 opponent and slotting in the TITANS instead would note that we have CLASS unlike the Marquettes of this world who dumped us when we were down.

◦Nevada at Loyola (Chicago) (11/27)
◾Might end up being on ESPNEWS, ESPN Digital or CBS Sports Network as ESPN, ESPN2 and ESPNU should be tied up with the ACC-Big Ten Challenge

Too bad....I was thinking the Nevada game would make ESPN. The game would have been better on a Saturday as well.

Hope the neutral site game with Mississippi St didn’t fall through.

Stumbled across this little nugget:

https://amp.ncaa.com/amp/news/basketbal ... ssion=true

Quote:
Turgeon said he held back on finalizing the non-conference schedule until after he knew the roster. Once Bruno came back he locked in on getting Seton Hall at home (first of a two-season home-and-home), Loyola-Chicago in Baltimore (still being finalized but Loyola coach Porter Moser said it's close to being done)

Here's what we have so far:

11/06 UMKC
11/19 vs. Richmond at Ft. Myers
11/21 vs. BC/Wyoming at Ft. Myers
11/27 Nevada

at UIC
2 MTE home games-- probably teams below 280 in RPI.

That accounts for 7 of probably 12 non-con games. Do we know any others?

Add potentials of Maryland and Miss St. and that list is looking a lot better. KenPom had them at 39 and 54 respectively last year.

Not only is Turgeon going to be on the hot seat for not winning enough, but this could give Maryland impetus to fire him with cause and not pay him. Could be NC State all over again if this is supposed to be a home & home.
