Reading through this thread, one question comes to mind: Does anyone realize how difficult scheduling is? Why in the world would schools like Dayton, Marquez, ND come here? Every once in a while you get lucky in certain circumstances i.e. Izzo doing Farmer a favor. And by being good, it makes it that much more difficult.

Also, on the last schedule updated posted, the MTE is the Ft. Myers event. They are not different. The MTE is 4 games 2 at home and 2 in Ft Myers.

Best way would be to offer 2-for-1.

We offered 3-1 to KSU and Purdue in the mid 2000's and they took us up on it.

2-1 and 3-1 eventually kill you. You backlog road until your schedule is impossible. Only so may you can do year in and year out. There are also the optics to scheduling like that similar to taking buy games. You dont want to be shown as doing that or else you'll never get a 1-1. Got to keep on building to the point where a road loss at our place by a team with tournament aspirations is not looked at as a negative, or that a win at your place is a Q1 or Q2 win - then you can get 1-1's. We're not there yet but hopefully we will be. Also, gotta get creative by playing at rosemont or wintrust and give up a home game for a 'neutral' - but thats difficult too.

No Blers makes some good points. But sooner or later, we've got to go for at least 2-for-1 deals with some worthy attractions, otherwise we'll never get a P5 in Gentile Arena.

The other trends that's happening are the one-off neutral site games, sometimes for charity or other events. I guess the Misssissippi State thing in New Jersey is in that category. This is one of the areas where us being much better and having raised our profile through the Final Four appearance would make the most difference.

Man I’m glad they granted us the privilege of a return home game!

Nevada just landed 5-star McDonalds All-American PF Jordan Brown. Picked Nevada over Arizona.

Nevada is going to be absolutely stacked next year if the Martin twins and Caroline come back (still up in the air on whether they will enter the draft). They will have 4 legit NBA players in their starting lineup.

Wow, great for them. They could be preseason top 5.

Believe this puts them at 15 scholarships so likely Martins aren’t coming back.
