Well that is something. Best of luck to him.

Now we have to fill 3 spots

Disappointing, but can’t say it’s completely shocking. I’m sure he wants to play more, and I wish him all the best. I really think it was starting to click with him late in the year, and I hope he builds on that wherever he lands.

Wish him the best but I understand where he is coming from. He was a part of this year and I hope he finds happiness.

Disappointing to see him leave as I feel he was going to be a good player for us. Hope he succeeds at wherever he ends up.

Always liked Cam. I am sure he wants to go where he has a chance to play starter's minutes. I did not see that happening here - even in his senior year.

What a great time to have 3 spots open. Would love to see 2 more freshman and 1 grad transfer that can step right in next year. Hate to see good players go - but it's an opportune time for it to happen. We will upgrade for sure.

This one hurts. It was very obvious, probably before Christmas, that Avery was a lost cause. His facial expressions and demeanor were indicative of a guy who was not willing to take direction or do what was asked of him. I really thought Satterwhite was different though. It looked like he struggled but was going to ultimately be a success story if he kept his head up and kept working hard. I saw him as being a major contributor next year. It’s a shame we put so much work into him to not get to see it pay off. I guess we can just be thankful he hit those free throws down the stretch to give us that win at Florida.

Let’s get some serious talent in at these 3 openings now.

This is a perfect example of the new normal in college basketball. Guys who are middle of the road in good programs who want to play more, even if at a garbage level. If he had landed at Colorado where he originally committed, his playing time would have been the same as with us.
I wish him the best, but while Avery made a good decision because I know he will play more elsewhere, Satterwhite made a bad decision.
Hopefully it allows us to land a better player!

Oh, and thank you to Tyson Smith, who the coaches trusted enough to sit between Avery and Satterwhite after their mid-season antics. Tyson definitely got them both refocused and supporting their team even if it was an act in the end.

Kid wants a chance to make a bigger impact and a better fit for him. I don’t blame or hate him for it in the least, and hope he finds a great fit for him. There are a lot of good programs Cam could land at and see a lot of minutes. He was clutch for us in some big situations this year, and I hope nothing for the best for him.

I don’t think it was an act at all in Cam’s case, especially at the end he was engaged a lot.
