That’s sad to hear. I hope it was an amicable separation.

I would really hate to see Pat go.....He has always been so down to earth and personable. just a great guy...Hope that he got a better gig..will miss him around LU....you know back in the black days.Pat was one of those guys who was overworked and had a million responsibilities. I remember one year when I was taking a bunch of Middle School kids around campus and ran into Pat....off the cuff he took the whole bunch of them for a tour of the Gentile Center.....good guy

I had heard the same thing, Pat Schultz is Loyola, the whole thing leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Over these past 20 years I had always dreamed of Loyola doing what they did this past March/April, at the same time being worried about the bad things that would happen if they did make that kind of run. No Pat Schultz wasn't even on the radar of the bad things that could happen.

Ditto. If this is a case of him being pushed out, it’s not going to sit well. Pat’s a good guy.

Usually just a spectator, but I felt the need to post on this. Ive heard rumblings that this was far from amicable. Pat, who has put 30+ years into Loyola and into the athletic department should not have been treated like this. I'm beginning to question the leadership of this department.

What reason would there be for a rift between the department and Pat Schultz?

Gosh. This makes me sad. If he is moving on, I do hope it wasn't on bad terms. I was glad to run into him the night of the loss to Michigan. There isn't anyone that I know personally who symbolizes Loyola basketball and the whole athletic department more than Pat.

I do not choose to assume the worst !! Perhaps Pat received an offer he had to take !!

In any case we are entering the NEW era of LUC HOOPS and other sports !! WE will certainly be the FAVORITE to win next season VALLEY title with a return to the DANCE !!

YAY !!!

GODSPEED to PAT !!
