Nice interview with John Poulakidas here. Sounds like Loyola checks a lot of the boxes for what he wants in a program.

Having next year’s class solidified is huge. Really allows us to go deep on 2021 recruits and show them that we’re interested over a long period of time. We were on Krutwig for two years before he committed. Poulakidas looks to have a similar skill set to Tate Hall, bigger wing, great shooter but can put it on the floor some. Local kid who will probably get a few more Big 10/Big East offers; but also one that should know are coaches well by the time anyone else comes around.

It also looks like we’ve been keeping a close eye on Tyrese Hunter, a borderline top 100 recruit (currently 96), out of Racine. We offered him a while back but have maintained contact which is awesome. Quick twitch guard.

Another player that we’ve been keeping up with is CJ Noland out of Texas. Absolute tank of a wing that kind of reminds me of former Simeon wing Talen Horton Tucker in that his frame isn’t that of a traditional basketball player. He’ll need to lose some weight at the next level, but would be a physical slasher, which will be needed following graduations next year.

Finally it looks like we’re still keeping tabs on the Notre Dame trio that we offered… a lot can change with AAU coming up this summer, but worth noting we got a commitment from Paxson Wojcik in June of 2018. Should be a fun class to follow.

I know it's way before your time, Blers, but CJ Noland also reminds me of a Rambler from the late '60s named Roland Poeli who was 6'3" 255 lbs. but was surprisingly nimble on his feet and could set a screen like nobody's business.
He transferred after his freshman year to Kendall College to study in its culinary program.
His nickname was "Roly". Sadly he died in 1982 of a massive heart attack.

I'm going to choose to believe this is a true story. RIP Roly Poeli.

I think we have a good shot at Anthony Sayles. In my opinion, he is being under-recruited big time. An electric point guard that can drive, pass and shoot from deep. Started as QB on the football team that has made some playoff runs over the last couple years as well.

I think the other two we are recruiting from ND will go to Big Ten / Big East level programs.

Missed this last week. Looks like Brandin Podziemski was also at the Bradley game. Only one offer (from DePaul) so far, but he's a high level shooter out of Wisconsin who will definitely get more looks soon.
