My guess is he will sit the first half of the first game. I hope I'm wrong but I doubt it. Lack of discipline on and off the court is what will do them in ... I have no doubt!

The Pantagraph is a pretty reliable source....

Whoa. That is bad. I hadn't seen the details when I posted. Mueller has put up with the kind of crap for years. Seems to me they would be better off without Yarbrough.

Malik Yarbrough was arrested the day before the game against SIU and still started and played 34 minutes. He would have to be in custody at tipoff for Dan Muller not to start him.

I doubt they boot him...

It'll be interesting to see what will happen though. It sounds to me like he was on some sort of community supervision / deferred type of thing from a previous case. I have a feeling one of the terms of that is probably not getting arrested again. He might have some serious problems coming his way that might take any decision about him playing at the beginning of this season out of Muller's hands.

Worst case scenario is Yarbrough misses the non conference, hurting ISUs RPI but comes back for conference play

According to Jim Benson from The Pantagraph, “Milik Yarbrough at first practice with Illinois State. Coach Dan Muller said "from what we know right now, there's no doubt in my mind that's the right thing to do." Muller hopes he can talk more about it later and understands how people feel who don't have all the information.” He includes a few pictures over a couple tweets this morning.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Is anyone really shocked by this? Seems to be S.O.P. in Blo-No

Not surprised by it, but really don't care that much. I am excited to put our guys up against ISU with or without Yarbrough. I would assume that, by Muller's statements, the incident must not be as bad as it was made out to be -- If that's not the case and he ends up with some repercussions from the Court system, Muller is going to look very stupid...

My two biggest takeaways from reading about this situation are:
1) I'm incredibly thankful our team has not had any problem players like this in recent years; and
2) I'm crossing my fingers that we don't have to deal with stuff like this any time in the near future.

My #1 take away. Blo-No is just about the WORST abbreviation ever.

Besides, the people in Bloody Nose, West Virginia are jealous.
