Anyone have any idea who will be residing in Pat Schultz's chair when the season opens? Last night women's volleyball game was announced by one of the men's volleyball players. Another game was announced by Ryan Haley Ass't Director of Communications. Anyone heard anything??? |

If you look at Pat's Linkedin page, he lists his experience with Loyola as "Associate Athletic Director" ending in May 2018 but describes his tenure as Loyola's "Public Announcer" as extending to the "present". To me this raises a reasonable inference that he may continue to announce men's basketball on a free lance basis. I have no inside information but I hope that's the case. |

The announcer at the women's vball game tonight was GOD AWFUL. TRYING TO BE too cute he screamed and could not be understood. Did not understand the roll of voice volume. You could not hear someone talking sitting right next to you because he was just so damn LOUD!!! And I mean loud. Really GD frigging irritating! That said, sad to say Pat will not be the announcer at Loyola any more. period. Can't say how I know but I know. Pat was a real pro and put his heart and soul into announcing. He will be missed. On the court, the women lost 3 sets to 1 to Drake. |

The more things change, the more they stay the same. a 180 degree turn for sure! Free agent Pat Schultz has reupped in a one year deal to do men's basketball. The other announcers were terrible. Pat edged out Vince Scully. Expect the first appearance at the KC game on the 6th. Certainly good news! |
