Sometime during the week of Oct 21-27 (probably Tuesday the 23rd) the MVC Preseason Poll will be released.

Last year we were picked 3rd, with 1 first place vote (I wonder who that was....) out of the 40 votes cast. UNI was picked to finish 2nd behind Missouri State, and Illinois State was picked fourth just behind us.

The poll came out today, earlier than JCT expected.

The Ramblers placed first, comfortably ahead of Illinois State. Custer was named preseason 1st team all MVC while Krutwig and Townes both earned second team honors.

I've been looking at the Illinois State board, and they've been monitoring ticket sales for the Redbirds-Ramblers game at Gentile. They seem to believe they will be in the majority, fan-wise, in the matchup. One person stated as of now there are only 25 tickets left. Anyone know how single game ticket sales have been?

59 tickets left according to the seat map.

I'm sure they thought they were the majority last year, too.
