That's amazing. And a huge bonus to have Butler, Notre Dame, Marquette and Xavier below us.....

Presumably, if we win our first few games at home against UMKC, Furman, Niagara and Grambling, a couple of teams in the AP ranking above us will lose a game or two. Maybe a good team will beat someone good and move above us. But we could be a ranked team going into Ft. Myers if we don't stumble.

Haven't been this excited for the start of the season in such a long time. Expectations have certainly been raised and how great is that!? I really hope the students get behind this team...can't believe we're talking about being just outside the top 25. Very cool.

#27 in Coaches Poll. So both polls think highly enough to expect Loyola to win a game in the NCAA Tournament.

I put up a page on the main site where we can track Loyola's rankings throughout the year. Let me know if there are other things you'd like to see.

#11 Auburn plays #25 Washington on Friday (11/9). I’m guessing if Washington loses, we could see Loyola squeak it’s way in to the next AP top 25.

#20 TCU came dangerously close to losing against Cal Bakersfield as well. Not sure if it causes movement, but they were down 9 at halftime and only won by 5.

Bakersfield has a decent enough program (NIT Final 4 + NCAA last 3 years) that TCU shouldn’t lose ground with a tight win. Ball St upsetting Purdue would help.
