Wow! High school games are only 32 minutes. His 23.8 scoring average projects to almost 30 ppg in college.

Kennedy had 39 points in Brother Rice's 73-70 loss to St. Laurence. He is scoring at an unreal rate.

He also had 10 reb, 3 ast, 3 stl, and 3 blk. Very impressive line.

He gets to the line and makes free throws at such a high rate. Does all the little things with tipped balls and blocks as well.

Kennedy is just putting up unreal points. For those who have seen him....how do you see him fitting in at LU when he gets there? Seems like he needs the ball in his hands ....do you think he will fit into our current system that focuses on quick ball movement ?

I only saw him in person for one game but my impression was that he plays well within the team concept and isn't a ball hog at all. He didn't seem to try to force things but let the game come to him. Scored in low 20s that game after a slow start.
It follows from this that he is coachable and will adapt just fine to Porter's system.
What he brings to the table is a quickness and athleticism that we don't really have this year with Custer and Budjoso. Townes is a good athlete and stronger than Kennedy, but doesn't have Kennedy's burst of acceleration. He can also jump through the roof. Kennedy is a touch slight in build and may need to add some muscle, but that should come in time.
His ball handling was fine, although I didn't see him faced with any pressure or trapping defense.

Agreed completely that he isn’t a ball hog. He’s just so efficient around the rim and does a lot of damage at the free throw line while also getting offensive rebounds for easy put backs/steals for breakaway dunks.

You can watch all brother ride home games on YouTube to see him play. He’s actually a really smart passer when he drives the lane.

Marquise Kennedy scored 34 points in Brother Rice’s victory over Richards. He did most of his damage in the second half, scoring 19.

Brother Rice was down 67-65 with 50 seconds left and Kennedy scored the last 8 points - all on free throws.
