Yeah the comments don’t look too good. Marques had tweeted out the same quote (I think earlier than Lucas posted) “Fall 7, rise 8” so I was hoping it was just a new team mantra from a meeting today or something.

That is one of Porter's mantras, but Lucas posting it combined with the replies don't seem good.

Lucas had surgery and will be out 3 to 4 weeks. So maybe back for the last two games of the regular season and then Arch Madness?

So it’s *possible* he could be back with anywhere from 1-4 games left in the season, and for the Conference Tournament. That, obviously, would be huge. Here’s to a quick and (most importantly) successful rehab

Lucas had surgery Monday. To me, this is pretty much the best possible news coming from that. Hoping for a speedy recovery, but I don't want him to rush back.

This reminds me a little of 2015, when Milton hurt his ankle. I think he missed about 10 games and his first game back was the last game of the MVC regular season where he played about 10 minutes. The team kinda figured out how to gel and held their own before his return, and when he came back it was an added boost that really propelled the team forward.

For those who forgot or weren't around that year, we then destroyed Indiana State in the Valley tournament (still the record for biggest blowout) before losing to UNI who was a Top 15 team. Then we won the CBI! If we can survive and get a top seed in the conference when Lucas returns I think it'll be a huge added boost. Plus, he'll have strong and fresh legs while pretty much every other player in the Valley will be bruised from the full conference slate.

According to Tim Edmonds who was listening to Porter on 670 the Score this morning, he seemed pretty confident in Lucas Williamson returning sooner rather than later. hopefully that means closer to the 3 week timetable than the 4 week. That would put him back near the 21st. We have games the 20th (Evansville) and the 24th (SIU). Great news!
