I'm trying to process my feelings about this new team and this season. So I'll start a thread that I hope people can air out some conflicting ideas to come to a better understanding of what we've got as a team this year.

Illogical Love = Frank Agunanne coming into the game
Illogical Hate = Aher Uguak shooting wide open threes

Hate bad shooting (threes and free throws) and falling behind in every game!

Love Cooper and that we never quit.

I'm gonna drop the illogical and irrational adjectives from my love and hates.... I already know I am illogical and irrational because I spend way too much time here with the rest of you...... So, Let me count the ways...
I love the path of the PROGRAM, and the chaos of managing incoming and graduated players...
I love the visibility of playing this difficult non con schedule...
Notch down from loving, I am developing an appreciation of the level of talent across the spectrum of college basketball, and am totally amazed trying to understand the whole recruiting process. PS, stayed up to watch Nevada come back strong and beat AZ St. WOW. Great game.
I love seeing excellent student turnout at our home games and hope they stick thru thick and thin.
I hate the fact we are stuck in constant comparison to last year, when in fact there is a lot to appreciate about this years team.
I hate some of the constant derision of our players and judgements from afar. We all screamed to retain PM, so I am totally comfortable with his decisions about court time, starters, etc. He has to manage all of the emotion and stress of the transition and I don't knows how in the heck he does it.
I think, as illogical as I am, that some of the most important takeaways at this point in this season are that if we want to continue on the path to realizing a high visibility program, and we want to get top 100 recruits, or whatever, we need to keep the discussion visible out THERE in Chicagoland. We need to keep showing up for games, fill those seats, and encouraging the players. In perspective, we were a Horizon League middle of the road program, no one liked it. We were a newbie in the MVC, and it was tough, but PM and the players have made great strides. Our Ken Pom ratings have been in a fairly constant rise over the last seven years, even tho the competition has also been tougher. We lived in the 200's for several years, so top 100 , playing with newbies and transitioning is nothing to be disappointed about. Gotta stay the course. GO RAMBLERS.

I don't hate to see Wichita St struggling.
