Barret Benson, class of 2016, Hinsdale South High School, was at today's scrimmage. I believe we offered him today. |

Verbal Commits is reporting that Loyola has offered a scholarship to Devaugntah Williams. He is a 6'3 sophomore shooting guard at Missouri State-West Plains. He averaged 13 points and 3.5 rebounds last year for a juco team that was 22-9. |

Also see an offer to Michael Karena, 6-9, 240, from New Zealand via South Plains College. http://www.verbalcommits.com/players/michael-karena |

He is very athletic and he used that to play pressure D against each of the Bears ball handlers. He didn't play a lot for the grizzlies early last year but worked his way into the stating lineup before they started league play. He has an average to good shot from outside and seems to prefer a slasher role rather than spot up shooter. I kinda thought the Bears would offer but it seems they are looking for a prep rather than a Juco. Good player would be a nice pickup for the Ramblers. |

I can't find too much info on him and his twitter feed gives no clues (though Texas Tech has shown interest but hasn't offered...his twitter picture shows him at a Texas Tech football game in a Texas Tech sweatshirt) edit: Just looked at his stats at South Plains...not good. Averaging just under 7 minutes a game, 1.9 points and 1.4 rebounds. |

If Knuth takes Tanner's scholarship and Pickett really is gone, I'm guessing he's our main target. Not a bad one considering how many people on this board complain about lack of depth but it will leave us with one scholarship point guard next year. Speaking of Pickett, he hasn't played since 1/18 and I don't remember seeing him at Arch Madness. |

the word from someone who should know is that Pickett was still fighting injuries. Did anyone notice if he was on the bench during games? |

No, pretty sure he wasn't there. If he wasn't there, he's either deathly sick and contagious (again) or he must've left. There's no real good excuse to not bring the kid to an event that we've been hyping since day 1 in the Valley. Plus the tournament took place during break no less. |

Back in January, I was told that Pickett had suffered a concussion in December, was recovering very slowly, and was attending classes. I was also informed that when he attended games after the injury, the crowd noise and motion of the game affected him adversely. At this time I have no further knowledge of his situation. |
