Krutwig is such an amazing player and I hope he gets the POY he deserves this year. He is one of the best passing big men I have seen.

What a bizarre game. Two big offensive rebounds late.

Porter got on the mic to thank the crowd after the game.

It's hilarious to see UNI fans on message boards and Twitter complaining about the officiating.

Like they some how forgot about the calls they'd get for Tuttle and Koch...

Official attendance just over 3,000. Two years ago it would’ve been 300. Well done to everyone who was able to make it!

Krutwig's first career three-pointer: an out-of-bounds play with the score tied late in regulation.

Wow! Gutsy call by Porter, interesting that they had that play designed.

You’re not going to get many calls when you’re holding the ball and chucking up 25 footers

Multiple posters on their board are declaring they’ll win Arch Madness.

They’ve really slowed from posting how they’ll join the Mountain West with Gonzaga.

Our defense will. Not. Foul.*

Valpo's beat writer Paul Oren has talked a couple times about how he walked into a hornet's nest by talking about fouls in their UNI game last year. Part of his initiation into the league.

*We will frequently leave you unguarded for threes though

Krutwig's late heroics (and actually, his whole game throughout) not withstanding, the rest of the team played pretty bad. Defense was terrible. Too many turnovers. Custer's scoring and assists have dropped off a cliff. The newcomers who we really need to contribute (Uguak, Kaifes, Bujdoso) came up with a combined two points on six shots and a trip to the line. The five starters each played 31 minutes or more. Another bad free throw performance..... another game where the opponents have one of their best nights of the season on threes....

On the plus side, Skokna had a very good game, especially after the first 8 minutes. Nailing those two early threes stretched the UNI defense.
