Why we didn't drive more coming out of halftime with Fayne and Yarbrough both 2 fouls.

Good question. Especially after we should have realized the 3's were not even coming close to falling.

They denied Krut the ball, throwing three guys at entry passes to him. Other players have to step up when that happens, Custer had a lot of good looks because of this

Ah let them have the false sense of confidence. We played like garbage and still only lost by 8. Our team is better than theirs and we will prove it in St. Louis.

The difference ended up being all their miracle heaved 3’s that fell.

We are a soft team, and everyone knows it. We are getting manhandled, abused. pushed around, and pissed on.

Our freshmen and newcomers are not ready to play on the road in this league. Clayton Custer, the conference player of the year last season, is a net negative right now for us. He's scored 30 points in his last 5 games on 27% shooting.

14 shots by Custer, 12 from three point range, and he ended with 8 points.

Agree, with proud mom.

Also we should have had Krutwig and Negron in the game at the same time in the second half and just keep forcing it down low to draw fouls.

Custer finishes the night with 0 assists, and it’s officially becoming less of a slump and more of a trend.

Sad to lose this game, but I even with Custer having a bad night and Krut only getting 8 shots off, we some how made the score look respectable.

Basketball can be a game of matchups, and this one is a perfect example — if we have Williamson, he makes us at least 5 points better on offense and at LEAST 5 points better on defense.

We are done with them - we are still at the top of the league. Time to win out.

Nope. They made their threes. We didn't. When Skokna had a wide-open three and didnt make it, when we didn't establish inside scoring (Uguak made NOTHING. NOTHING........ despite many open close-up looks)

We whiffed on dozens and dozens of opportunities. It was not "miracle threes" against us.

Something else I would like to see is more shots for Kaifes. Seems like we only run those down screens that turn into catch and shoots when we are down. Even if it’s a difficult shot he seems to hit regularly and it would at least open up the defence

Realistically:
-They hit circus 3's credit to them, Evans in particular was hitting crazy shots that were really well contested. Him and Yarbs carried em. May be the last time we play them (+Fayne), i'll miss watching two of them play, the other has a long list of legal/character troubles that might prevent him from winning POY, frustrating reality. That said, their future is gonna be weird with what they're losing, particularly when combined with what they have coming back (1 high school commit, guessing it will be a juco heavy team next year).
-We had some questionable at best calls in key moments: one on Custer after a good defensive stop that blew my mind, the travel on Townes turn around jumper (didn't see the replay but it didn't look like one to me), and a questionable no call on bruno taking a charge. Can't blame the refs, but it hurt at times.
-We're missing Williamson who'd be huge in defending Key/Yarbs; sure they're missing jefferson, but Williamson definitely means more to our squad.
-They went all in for this game. Its kinda cool but also weird to see a team do all they did to play a team with 8 losses. But we're still the target.
-Bruno didn't hit 3's but at least he was scoring
-Their late game execution with a lead was a nightmare; I know it wasn't ever close, but man. That could come to bite them down the line (already did against Valpo).

I'd rather have all the goofy stuff happen in the regular season. Still tied for first with another big time contender Tuesday.
