Realistically:
-They hit circus 3's credit to them, Evans in particular was hitting crazy shots; him and Yarbs carried em. May be the last time we play them (+Fayne), i'll miss watching two of them play, the others long list of legal troubles might prevent him from winning POY, frustrating reality. That said, they're future is gonna be weird.
-We had some questionable at best calls in key moments: one on Custer after a good defensive stop that blew my mind, the travel on Townes turn around jumper (didn't see the replay but it didn't look like one to me), and a questionable no call on bruno taking a charge. Can't blame the refs, but it hurt at times.
-We're missing Williamson who'd be huge in defending Key/Yarbs; sure they're missing jefferson, but Williamson definitely means more to our squad.
-They went all in for this game. Its kinda cool but also weird to see a team do all they did to play a team with 8 losses. But we're still the target.
-Bruno didn't hit 3's but at least he was scoring
-Their late game execution with a lead was a nightmare; I know it wasn't ever close, but man. That could come to bite them down the line (already did against Valpo).
I'd rather have all the goofy stuff happen in the regular season. Still tied for first with another big time contender Tuesday.
I really respect you, Blers.... You are right on top of things with recruits. But their threes were not "circus" threes. They were made threes. There was one three that was a low percentage shot at the buzzer that went in. That does not make their 9 other threes "circus".
Yes, we missed Williamson, yes it was no good that no one hit threes.
But bad teams use those excuses when their only other options fail. Good teams never use those excuses because they have 2nd, 3rd and 4th options.
