There is a no reserve auction going on tomorrow morning with an original 1963 Chicago Ramblers original 2 piece championship sign & a Chicago Ramblers Scoreboard. Both pieces were obtained from the people who demolished the old gym and put in the new one. Both pieces are guaranteed 100% authentic..The sign comes with a picture of the guys taking the sign off the building. the scoreboard has the original plastic pieces that say Ramblers & guest.. the sign & scoreboard are item # 195 & #196 and can be seen by following this link: https://www.auctionzip.com/cgi-bin/phot ... &zip=&kwd= You can call a phone bid in on either piece by calling Glen Miller at (715) 299-2543 the owner and operator of this auction. Its a shame LU didnt keep this stuff. When the gym was being leveled there were lots of things walking out. I have a bunch of bricks but Jill wouldnt let bring home one of the overhead lights in the gym. Those were pretty big and i had no idea what to do with it other than it was pretty cool. All of that stuff should be in the concourse around gentile. |

It DOES seem like, at least, the sign should be in Gentile or on campus. Good for whoever gets it for their garage or “man cave” but it is a shame the university let something like that get walked out. |
