Just thinking out loud here, but I do remember Mullins being quoted as saying he wanted to focus on the NIT. I know many times a lot of that is talk, and discussions still happen behind the scenes, but if there’s pressure to get this done ASAP, while one team is still trying to prepare for games, I could see one side not being too happy about it.

01, with all due respect, you would make a lousy soap opera writer.

This story has a way to go yet and has more twists and turns than Lombard Street in San Francisco.
I think the SIU fan base acted on accurate information at the time. :o

Finally, an intelligent post on this thread.

It’s always less about the script, and more about how you sell it to the camera

I must have at least a dozen posts on this thread, so what you're saying is...?

I once played Corpse #2 on Days of Our Lives.
Nailed it in only two takes.

National writers are starting to chime in. Must be getting pretty close.

Barkeep,

Any truth to the rumor Barry Hinson might be running for office in Oklahoma? Some Missouri St people we talked to at Arch Madness said he’s been contacted to run for Governor.

Things have been a little quiet on the SIU front....my guess is that it is a done deal....and waiting to make announcement after LU finishes NIT run to the Championship.
