Well bball has a little juice left.....but I wanted to bring up a couple of opportunities for ALumns in the area....the first is the undergraduate research Symposium. Undergrads who have done research projects and internships present them to the public. Jurors, and this is where you come in, go around and evaluate and discuss with the students their projects. It really is fascinating and an up lifting experience. You do not need to be an expert . You are provided with a simple matrix to help judge the project. The chance to interact with the students is the real plus. You come away feeling pretty good about the LU....It takes about two hours and their are two sessions. https://www.alumni.luc.edu/s/1548/alumn ... 467&crid=0
The other is coffee with incoming students. A real blast just talking, answering questions and drinking coffee (all three in my zone) with incoming students and parents. You usually get students from your area of study. https://www.alumni.luc.edu/s/1548/alumn ... 384&crid=0

Not sure what this has to do with Loyola basketball, seems more appropriate in the off-topic forum. With that being said it sounds interesting.

It is definitely off topic. Just wanted to reach out to people on the blog as you all seemed committed to LU...and this gives you a chance to see the regular student body in action. You will leave feeling impressed with LU and their student body. You can request to be in an area of your expertise. this is their NCAA tournament....plus they need the alumni to step up...it creates a nice connection....if anyone has specific questions you can message me.....wont go off topic again.
