The schedule is better than last year in my opinion. Isn’t that all we should hope for, to build and get better every year?
If not for the Nevada game last year, it’s not even a close comparison in my opinion.
I also agree that the youth on our roster had to be a consideration.
And while we hate the D2 game, and I get all the arguments against playing it, most power conference D1 teams seem to have a game against a non D1 team on their schedule.

I think the schedule just lacks that *prime* opportunity like we had last year vs Nevada and two years ago @Florida. For instance, Bradley is playing @Memphis (which is a top 10 team this year in preseason polls); ISUb is playing @Louisville; MoSt is @LSU, @Xavier and @VCU. Just a few examples.

I know scheduling is very easy for us to complain about on here. In practice, there is a lot that goes into it and a ton of moving parts that we have no clue about. But seeing other teams get bought by top tier programs leads me to believe that it is possible.

I just hope Davidson lives up to expectations as a top 25 team.

I think a lot more of those games happening is more luck than we give it credit for. People keep bringing up preseason rankings and last year, but who thought Furman would be one of our higher rated opponents when that was scheduled last year?
Unless you get one of the blue bloods like we did with Florida, there are no guarantees.
I think Missouri State has the benefit right now of the new coach, and those bigger teams seeing Mo State as an up and comer who they can beat in the early season and may help them down the road if they do well in the Valley. We do not have that appeal right now.

I completely missed IUPUI on the schedule. I just had to go back to the press release to make sure it wasn't added later.

I want most all Jesuit schools on our ached except Marquette-- We do NOT need them--I suggest a Coast trip say to Gonzaga Seattle and SF or Santa Clara -In any case go after Jesuit schools except Marquette

DePewl ?? Nope !! Seriously there are many worthier "PRIVATE" schools we could hopefully schedule-- St Bonny Duquesne Notre Dame are closer than my WC proposal . WE do NOT need DEPEWL or MARQUETTE-- And a renewal with Blue Jays would be superb.

Meanwhile let us win the Valley .

My late Son is up there cheering the Vandy game --He went there you know !! BTW our schedule is nice one for now .

It is nice hearing from you Brit. I agree schedule anybody but DPU and the Hilltoppers, Warriors, Golden Geese or whatever they currently call themselves.

Thanks 64-- I say we are the biggies now--We have a nice schedule for sure and we did it ourselves--tailor made for a good record and ncaa bid Now We must earn it !! Looks as if those guys from Springfield Mo will be the BIG competition this year
