Actually, JCT, if we could afford to wait a couple of years, there is a potential coaching candidate who would meet both of your criteria: a former head coach, AND the father of a top prospect.
I'm referring to Pat Baldwin, ex Rambler assistant and current head coach at the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee whose son Pat Jr. is the #1 rated recruit nationwide in the class of 2021.

Baldwin Sr. hasn't had much success at UWM, so maybe his tenure will end there by the time his son is eligible for college and they can both sign with the Ramblers!

I remember little Pat couldn't get the ball to the hoop shooting after games. lol
Pat can flat out play.

Let me add Sean O'Brien's name to the list; yes, the Rambler nemesis from SIU who graduated a couple years' ago. A local boy from Mundelein.
He just followed Matt Gordon and Porter on Twitter.
I could see him being hired at the entry level after promotions from within.
And, if I am permitted to say this, O'Brien fits the probable racial profile of our next coaching hire: White, or in O'Brien's case, extremely White verging on Pink.

I'll give you 10 to 1 that Porter's Jacket will follow O'Brien by close of business today. The Jacket steals from me ALL THE TIME.
He has no respect for intellectual property.

Possible candidates: DaJuan Gouard and Kevin Clancy. Both have more coaching experience than O'Brien.

Another possible candidate is Stan Gouard.
