I guess I wasn't being paranoid after all.

Kennedy posted on Twitter less than an hour ago that he intends to ask for his release from Loyola so he can sign with the Salukis.

Kennedy spouted the usual platitudes about how much he liked Loyola, Porter, the Rambler players, etc. but needed to do what's best for his academic and basketball future. He asked everybody to respect his decision.

But what's even more disturbing is that Tom Welch has already "Liked" Kennedy's Tweet, suggesting to me he knew this was coming and approved. Could Welch be the next to leave?

All I can say is that this is unbelievable!!! There's got to be more to this story than meets the eye...

However, the fan base which includes you is not out of the woods. If a coach leaves, I believe the recruit can reopen their search so this could happen if PM goes elsewhere. And the Final Four is the trading pit where all the coaches gather and deals are cut. So until the Final Four is over and until we see PM at the banquet, I would keep my fingers crossed. Losing the head coach can set a program back several years. The grad transfer rule which MO State has been using, can help somewhat but lets all hope everything remains quiet.
As for going to SIU, in reality I don't think Bryan would allow the transfer. I think he has loyalty to PM.
And keep this in mind, we could all move to Carbondale. A reverse caravan of sorts with you Swella heading it.
