I wonder if it would provide an opportunity at some point for games to be available on Sirius radio, since I believe Learfield has a deal with them

But it's NOT Radio!

To Ahunte: You are well above average.

If there's a video whether TV or ESPN+ I'm going to be watching. Basketball is just really hard to follow via audio only unless the announcers are really good. There's so much off-ball movement that if you can't see you're bound to miss.

I like the idea, and I may tune in if I can't be in front of a TV or computer or if I just want to listen to a replay of the game while at work. I think the big question is who will do the announcing. I hope it is professionals and not students.

Excited about the possibility of an "Inside Loyola Athletics" show. Too bad it won't be ready until "at least the 2020-21" academic year.

More info on the online audio broadcasts, including announcers.

Seems likes it’s going to be the same duo as the last time there were radio broadcasts, Jeff Hagedorn and Chris Sparks.

I don't know why this should bother me so much, but the last half of the press release issued under Loyola's name is nothing but a naked promotion of the Learfield Corporation, lifted verbatim from Learfield's website. The exact same language also appears in other schools' press releases about media-related news, so Loyola isn't alone in being pimped out like this by Learfield.
But it still rubs me the wrong way.
