I wonder when Big Joe's conference team previews will come out? Always a good read! His 2002-03 Horizon League preview has really stood the test of time. Speaking of the 2002-03 Ramblers, I Googled a player on that team who was famous on Ramblermania for wearing a gold lame' suit on the sidelines of a game. Way to hijack a thread, Swella. That must be the Terrance Whiters who played at Loyola from 2002-04. He was from Baltimore, and the age matches up.  He scored 488 points while at Loyola. He later transferred to Towson and Arkansas Tech. He played pro for a few years in the PBL. I didn't set out to hijack the thread. I intended to gently rib Big Joe about his not doing a conference preview on Ramblermania for over a decade. This led to me to think about Terrance Whiters. I googled Whiters to nail down his years at Loyola, and found out about his murder. It's definitely him; there was an "Increase the Peace" exhibition basketball game in his name recently. https://youtu.be/9E4eivOVAeQ Might be a good idea to carve out a separate thread for the Whiters' stuff if that's something a mod. can do. |
