With the start of Conference play just around the corner, I thought it would be fun to find out what people think of our chances after an up and down non-conference season.

Left click. I went third because I am an eternally dismal optimist.

I see. The ballot didn't come up the first time.

I voted for 3rd place. I feel Loyola can beat anyone in the Valley but also feel that anyone can beat Loyola especially on the road. True parity. This is a year to strongly consider the CBI or CIT as we have a young team. Come March the team will either have grown stronger or the young players will be worn out after their first college season. I give us a 30% chance of getting the auto NCAA bid and a 60% chance of a CBI or CIT bid. 10% of no tourney. Only one team in getting to the NCAAs this year and extra practice time will help a young team. This is the perfect year for a CBI or CIT. I am not giving up hope on an NCAA bid, but in reality with all the parity and only one team getting into the Big Dance we have to be realistic. A Final Four, CBI Championship, NIT Bid, and another CBI/CIT bid in a five year span is really good.

Regular Conference Season Record prediction: 10-8
Lose 3 at home and 5 on the road.
Win 1 and Lose 1 in St. Louis, final record after Arch Madness: 19-14, CBI bid.

I thought I'd bump this poll and have everybody confess where they picked the Ramblers to finish.
I picked them 4th, but only because there was no option for "tied for second", which is where I really figured they'd finish.
Really.

This is a nice necro Swella. 4th was reasaonable but now we demand 2nd. A new world.

So you continued to underestimate the Ramblers even with one game left. But I have to admit to being one of the other 3 4th-place votes.

Guilty as charged.
I think I tend to have low expectations for psychological reasons: It feels good when the Ramblers exceed my expectations, and it pains me when they fall short.
So I adjust my expectations accordingly.

I was one of the 3 second place voters, but I hope to be proven wrong when Drake wins tonight.
