I’m tired of the poor free throw shooting.

Why is Pipkins in the doghouse? There has to be something to this.

Why did Frank not get in the game?

I’m glad we won but I am interested in the playing time.

Porter is big on matchups. I have to imagine there was something that led him to play small (not playing Frank) and playing Bruno instead of Pipkins.

Or maybe they had some injuries. Guess we'll see

Also thought Tommy Welch did a nice job againat their smaller lineup.

I’ve give up on trying to make any sense of who plays and who doesn’t with Porter. I have accepted trusting the process as long as the players seem engaged.
And on tv the first thing I saw after the final horn was Pipkins going nuts (in his warmup shirt) going to celebrate with Coach.

1 and 2 in the Porter play book is play defense ,,,take care of the ball....So I am guessing the ton of easy hoops ISU got, prompted a re-examination of who is making defensive mistakes etc,,,,just a guess. I was really hoping to see Big Frank and Pippkins have big years.

That was probably a foul on Marquise on that last play. I'd be pretty upset if a similar thing play happened to us.

But really, no excuses it should have come down to that. The putrid free throw shooting allowed Valpo back in it. We need a killer instinct.

@Evansville next. They have been playing better, taking SIU to OT and playing @Bradley tough over their last two games. Need to be ready.

It was close, but consistent with how the game was being called overall. The refs were letting a lot of contact go, on both sides. I’m guessing Kennedy and Williamson have bruises to prove that. Even if it was a foul, Valpo got the benefit of two back to back horrible offensive calls against us late to keep them in it, so, boo hoo.

It’s nice to close these type of games out. We’ve been on the other side way to many times this year.

As for playing time, I suspect part of it may be spacing out minutes over the year, depending on the matchups, giving some a game off to keep legs fresh for March. But, that’s complete conjecture

We were on the way to my 20 point wi the bad guys hit some open 3s ( defense ?) and we forgot freebies were part of the game !!!

Many years ago at CAMPION, we had to shoot fifteen freebies prior to practice-- Freshmen were our ball boys We did it or sat on bench--that did NOT bother me as bench was my regular spot anyway except maybe 3-4 minutes a game--

I Recall we were darned good at the line as Seniors !!

We won today but NOT by 20 !!!
