Would have been such a big shot by Lucas there. Just didnt drop. And of course UNI hits a big 3 right after.

Good to have Frank back out there. One steal from Green and one massive block.

Gonna be a tight one.

Why the HELL did Uguak not foul there? How? Why? Should be benched for that.

Well. I think a rivalry is starting...

Also, I’m sorry about AJ Green’s face.

I'd be cool with UNI being our rival.

Felt like I was talking to myself in here--must have been the only one not at the game!

That was a war. Mirrored the earlier game with them--home team leads most of the game, away team storms back and forces OT, then home team absolutely dominates OT.

I hope we see them on Sunday in StL. They are good. But they are NOT deep. You saw that exhaustion at the end of the game today. Green played all 45 minutes (after play all 40 minutes in their midweek game). They will have very tired legs in the 3rd game in 3 days.

AJ Green is something else though. Some shots he hits leave me shaking my head. But some shots he takes also leave me shaking my head. Fun player and tough kid.

However, Aher and Lucas played tremendous defense. Clemons was out of his mind on offense with a career high. Krut dominated the paint (and is my MVC POY). And Quise had some great steals and big buckets. Oh and Frank got some good minutes off the bench with a big steal, a big block and a nice bucket at a key moment.

This was a fun one. We are now one game back. And UNI has to head to ISUb this week (who is undefeated at home). Keep this energy up and who knows what can happen....

What a game!

2011- totally agree with your comments. The 2nd foul on Lucas really hurt us. He was a monster on defense. Big minutes from Frank.

That was a fun atmosphere. Maybe the most fun I’ve had at a game since Atlanta.

The refs were clearly swallowing their whistle, but I think it’s a good sign that we showed we can win that type of game.

I think the concern about Big Frank may have been overblown after seeing how much he was used tonight in key situations. He only had two points, but I think played great on defense.

I hope Lucas Williamson’s game doesn’t get lost in the hype of Clemons and Krutwig’s nights. Incredible defense and heart. He’s is an absolute lock down defender, and proved it again tonight. IMHO, he’s absolutely the best defender in the league, and maybe one of the best in the country. Aher had a phenomenal game on defense as well. AJ Green would be starting for almost any team in the country, and when those two clamped down, he was shut down.
