You mean Dan Muller didn't get one first place vote?

How many think if we held a most hated team in the Valley we would win? I think we have officially replaced Wichita State as the Conference Villian.....A place of honor.

Any team that counts Sister Jean and swellafelon among its fans is beloved, not hated!
How can it be otherwise?!?

Call me crazy but I don't think this is far off... UNI won the conference with only 5 losses. SIU was picked last and was in the thick of things towards the end. I don't have an issue with the top 2.

I have more of an issue with AJ winning POY than I do with Ben winning COY

Ben Jacobson did a great job. He had an amazing non-con and won one of the more competitive years in the Valley, all with a target on his back. That’s tough to do, and when they lost two in a row the team didn’t fold. He’s for sure coach of the year in the Valley.

If getting the most out of your team was the sole Factor in the decision, Brian Mullins would be the winner. Bottom line - they won games they shouldn’t have won on paper, and that’s a credit to coaching. If Mullins sticks around he’s going to get a Coach of the Year or two.

Porter won some games we probably shouldn’t have, but lost some games he should’ve won. If I was rating coaches this year based on expectations and talent, Jacobson gets an A, Mullins gets an A+, Porter gets A- and Ford gets a D. Oddly enough, the “best coaching” came from McCarty and the proof is in the results. 9-3 with a win over Kentucky with him and 0-18 without him. Obviously, that’s not popular to say given what has been put out there about him - But the record of that team doesn’t lie. I don’t know what he did, but I sure hope it was worth it to him. Whatever it was probably cost him a very promising coaching career.

SamoanRambler, is it true that there is a suburb of Pago Pago named Pizza Pizza?
