Davidson! That’s the one I forgot!

I don’t know about Porter being reluctant to schedule a P5 game though. Wasn’t that what Florida was in 2017-2018?

If you use UNI last year as a the barometer on getting into at-large territory, they had only three games to make a statement and they went 2-1. Their scheduling sucked outside their MTE.

West Virginia (loss)
South Carolina (win)
Colorado (win - away)

But the rest of their schedule was atrocious:

Old dominion
Northern Illinois
Cal-Bakersfield
Northern Colorado
Tennessee – Martin
Cornell college
Luther College
Grand Canyon
Marshall

They did win the genes they were supposed to on it, but it’s not eye popping.

I think our MTE is a solid field that will give us at least two quality games. I would also take Davidson and Furman over any team on the bottom lost of UNI’s schedule.

He scheduled the Florida game as a last resort after NC State bought themselves out of the return game at Gentile. If we're getting bought, we'll get bought by schools in the top 10 (Duke, Kentucky, Kansas, etc.). Those schools know they can still salvage the season if they lose (Kentucky and Duke both had a really ugly home loss and yet were looking at either 1 or 2 seeds in the tournament). However, they're also the teams that have no chance of ever coming to Gentile, which is what Porter really values.

Someone can embed Rothstein's tweet, but we are confirmed in the 2021 Battle 4 Atlantis. Other participants: Michigan State, UConn, Syracuse, Arizona State, Auburn, VCU. 8th team TBD.

BIG TIME!

Not to rain on anyone's parade, but the Battle 4 Atlantis 2021 is over a year and a half away, and we might all be dead before then.

Baylor is supposedly the final team. That is...quite a tournament.

Unbelievable field. Can't wait for us to hit 15 threes vs Syracuse.
