So I am going to the pessimistic side...take the drive through the dark tunnel and see what is on the other side......Lets say we do not play at all .
Do you think all of our seniors will take the opportunity to return? and what does that do for the kids waiting their turns.

In my opinion there will still be a season. It will be Missouri Valley games only and maybe adjusted to include more games "closer to home". I would see the season starting in February and no Arch Madness. The NCAA will be cutdown and maybe have all the games be regional only in the first two rounds to keep the teams closer to home. But the NCAA tourney will occur This is a matter of survival as many programs need the money from the NCAA to survive. (with their athletic programs).
The NCAA should start to develop a contingency plan NOW for the NCAA tourney.
This will be a lost year for sure. Sad but that's the reality of it.
As for games with fans in the stands at the Gentile. It will not happen in part because of the cost to clean the Gentile after every contest. Just too expensive. I think most if not all Loyola plays would stay for the extra year. King Krut is our only real player who might get drafted in the first two rounds of the NCAA.

They are going to hammer through the season and try to play it, but this disappointment that we just suffered is going to be the first of many. From the looks of it, we had three games scheduled for November, and apparently another game we lost in December. 4 games gone now gone. My guess is this will happen to another team in December and we will get invited to fill in for them and pick up 2 or 3 games then. We will just be sitting in December waiting for another team to drop.

My guess is that we’re going to get some conference games canceled as well, as it probably seems inevitable that some of our conference counterparts are going to get hit. This will be a wasted season. Even if we play some games, it’s impossible to know what we would even be playing for….

Krutwig would be my main concern. I would think he would put his name into the NBA draft and not take an agent and see what happens. He could always either come back, or transfer to play his last season in the big 10 and try to get noticed more by NBA scouts. Honestly, if he’s looking to play at the next level, it might not be bad for him to go try and play in a P5 conference. I really don’t know what his desires are though as far as continuing his basketball career.

Williamson could probably come back or take some money and try to play overseas.

My concern is none of the seniors are going to say what they are doing until March. It’s really going to screw recruiting up, and could result in a mass exodus of other players if they stay.

Even if this is isolated, that would mean our team could get hit again later in the season. This whole thing is just really depressing.

I’m hoping whoever in our program has it has a quick recovery. That’s really the only thing that’s important now.

Every senior that can should (and probably will) entertain leaving for an overseas deal after the season. Outside of the money, going to a place with a cohesive plan (and a general populace that doesnt think covid is a hoax) is probably the best option for anyone who can do it...at least until the various vaccines are approved and become available.

Krut is not listed in the top 100 of next years mock draft....not a perfect indicator....My guess is players that could take advantage of grad school may stay and those who can play in Europe but have no grad school ambitions will be gone....and then non-seniors will make decisions based on which seniors leave and opportunities they have..This is really a shame...other than not being able to have my grand kids hang out .....the Ramblers having this season disrupted is #2 on my list of things Covid 19 have fu..ed up.
