The article didn't say anything about fans being allowed to attend.
My guess is that the NCAA (and the State of Indiana) have deferred making any decision pending Covid developments.
I hope fans are able to attend, even if it's at a fraction of capacity.

That might be wishful thinking though.

I think there were some fans at the SIU/Butler game, so I’d say it’s possible

Maybe Indiana St gets some games as they are an hour from Indy

just read it.....so I wonder if Chicago was considered...and if,,,why INdy got it...seems like we would have some advantages, particularly if there are not going to be fans....or maybe that is the issue,,,,,Indiana will allow fans and Illinois would not???

I doubt if Chicago was ever considered, but how cool would that be if they held the tourney in Chicago and the Ramblers made a deep run?!?

The way Indianapolis is set up, it’s an ideal city for big events. Multiple large venues not far from each other, and for the events downtown almost everything (hotels, restaurants, event venues) is within walking distance.

That, and they already had the Final Four this year.

Have often thought that Chicago needs a new stadium....with retractable roof , near the airport....for football and FINAL FOUR (what do they demand for attendance.) and use Soldier Field for international events soccer, rugby, track etc drawing an international crowd to the loop.
Dont you think Chicago could have matched INdy.?..with United Center. Win(whatever it is) UIC,,Rosemont, Sears Center, Loyola, Northwestern and if they needed anything else they could have hit Milwaukee.....I mean they are going the 70 miles to U of Indiana
