Liam Robbins to Vanderbilt

Saw his uncle is headed there too after not being retained by the new regime in Minnesota, so not really a surprise I guess.

After hearing that, I don’t blame him. I’m not sure what his potential is to make the league but a Vanderbilt degree will clearly look better than Minnesota if he ends up graduating.

trying to predict what the Valley will look like next year is almost impossible at this point. Other than LU, Drake, MSU, SIU and UNI most Valley teams seem to be at 1/2 strength with tons of transfers. WIth the tr.ansfer portal at over 1000 we will just have to wait and see who fills up these rosters. Valpo just brought in Thomas Kithier , a junior from Michigan State. Started 14 games for the Spartans.....the rest of the spring and summer will be like the wild, wild, West in the Valley

Good news bad news
Goodnews Kpogeol leaving Valpo
Valpo is filling out their squad in what is probably the new norm.....4 transfers...2 from U of Wisconsin, 1 from Michigan St. and 1 from Winona St........ 4 incoming freshman...all 2 stars but all had reputable mig-major offers and then 6 returnees led by Krikke...and some walk ons,,, and they have a couple open spots left. I think if they are able to get another experience ball handler Valpo will be competitive next year.

Elijah Childs will be leaving Bradley. This means all of the suspended players from the incident while at Missouri State have left the program. I remember Childs specifically from the semi-final game in the MVC tnmt.in 18. Custer came off a screen from Krut on the left wing heading for the baseline while Krut rolled to the basket. Childs came off Krut and just about swallowed Custer forcing him to pick up his dribble and kick the ball back to Townes who drove and missed a pull up. So glad to see him leave the Valley.

Myrtle Beach Invite: Indiana St, Oklahoma, Utah St, New Mexico St, Davidson, East Carolina, Old Dominion, Penn

Diamond Head Classic: Northern Iowa, BYU, Stanford, Liberty, South Florida, Vanderbilt, Wyoming, Hawaii

the signing of Patrick Baldwin Jr, a 5 star, to play for his dad, x-LU assistant, Patrick Baldwin at UofW- Milwaukee has already cost two Valley teams potential recruits who have signed with UWM. It will be interesting to see if there is any kind of overall effect on the Horizon League.

a lot of the Valley (Drake, SIU, UNI, MSU and LU the exceptions) had more than the normal amount of players leave. On Verbal Commits the last four activities are players choosing schools in conferences ranked below us, over the Valley schools. Texas/ Corpus Christi, Florida Atlantic, Eastern Michigan, UW-Milwaukee. I would have thought the two schools in the Dance would have helped recruiting over all... June should be a big month for schools to finish up their rosters...then we will have a better idea how the Conference has faired and how it will shape up next year.

Also interesting is the Valpo has the highest ranked roster based on the star system at 2.333 then Missouri State 2.308 then the Ramblers at 2.225
