Saturday, November 16 at Fogelman Arena, New Orleans, LA (2:00 p.m. CT)

Tulane carries a 2-0 record into its Saturday matchup against Loyola, having defeated New Jersey Institute of Technology by 11 points at home and defeating Southern University 79-73 in a Wednesday road game. Although the margins of victory in their two wins looks dubious, the Green Wave was mostly in control for the majority of the game.

The Green Wave is led by 6'3" junior Guard/Forward Jay Hook, who's averaging 21 ppg and 11 rpg in his first two contests. Filling out the starting lineup are 6'3" shooting guard Louis Dabney (16 ppg, 7.0 boards), freshman point guard Jonathan Stark (15 ppg, 4.5 apg), 6'6" junior forward Tre Drye (10.5 ppg, 13.5 rpg) and 6'8" senior forward Kevin Thomas (although 6'8" freshman forward Payton Henson is gettin most of the playing time in the frontcourt).

Loyola and Tulane actually have a lot in common right now-- both teams rely heavily on six players, and their benches are frighteningly thin. In fact, only six Green Wave players have scored at all this year-- the bench past the sixth man is scoreless in 40 total minutes of playing time. Tulane has suffered from poor shooting percentage, but has made the most of many more trips to the line than their opponents (70 trips for Tulane, 39 for their opponents thus far).

There is a streaming video link, but it's a paid deal. http://www.tulanegreenwave.com/allaccess/?media=417885

When the Ohio Valley video link wasn't working well on Tuesday-- I think it was overloaded-- I just listened to the Loyola audio feed (http://client.stretchinternet.com/client/luc.portal# ) and watched live stats on Gametracker (http://www.loyolaramblers.com/gametrack ... rtschool=& ) . That might be an option for people not willing to sign up for Tulane's All Access service.

We're 3 1/2-4 point dogs in this one.

Another interesting aspect of this game that I didn't mention in the brief preview is the venue. Devlin Fieldhouse is an Alumni Gym type facility built in 1933 with a seating capacity of 3600. For a year, it was the home of the ABA's New Orleans Buccaneers. Here's the Wikipedia page about the building: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Devlin_Fieldhouse

As a college student I don't think I'm going to pay. I will probably do the radio feed and game cast like I did last game. Thank you. I think we will be able to best Tulane. I will be close but if we can make free throws I think we can

This game just seems super sloppy so far from what I am hearing on the radio stream. If we settle it down I bet we could make a good run.

Agreed with the sloppy play... it looks like who ever cleans up their game first is gonna win this one. I like the 9 point lead and the rebound line

The rebound line is very nice to see after the last two games. I am also looking to see how the free throw line will end up. If that is a problem all year we will struggle.

Agreed with the charity stripe... i think we're in big big trouble in conference if we continue to struggle at the line or if we have any injuries with our big guys.

This lead is starting to slip away and I am a little nervous after what happened last game.
