You know who else recently transfered to Brown who has Loyola ties?

Seems like a good segway to congratulate the Men’s golf team on a conference championship!

Brown's prior AD eliminated men's and women's golf last year. I predict Grace Calhoun's first move as current AD will be to reinstate golf and name Jason Calhoun golf coach.

If that fails, Jason will be hired as Associate Head Stable Boy of the Women's Equestrian Team, a position for which he's peculiarly suited since he's been tossing horseshit his whole life.

To get back on topic, if I haven't said it already I think Coop, Big Frank, Baylor and Pax were all talented players and fine men who represented Loyola with aplomb, and I wish them all nothing but success at their new destinations.

I live three blocks from the Brown basketball and hockey facilities. Basketball has a capacity about equal to the old Alumni Gym, and I imagine it is rarely at full capacity. Brown basketball has not been very successful the last few years. He should get a fair amount of playing time.

And an Ivy League degree. Smart move by Pax.

A few years ago, I took my family to Providence over Easter Break and caught a Brown Game. I remember the gym being bigger than Alumni, maybe equivalent to The Joe before the renovation. The students were away for Spring Break but there was a nice crowd there for the game. If I lived in Providence, I'd likely buy into Brown Basketball.

Big Frank,,,we hardly knew ya......always looked like he could be dominate...but ran into bad luck stuck behind Krut and injuries. And with this being the year that he could have seen more minutes than ever b4...Hutson has a great rookie year. Hutson and Big Frank together would have made me feel better about the center spot than just Hutson......But SMU taking him says something about the ability others see in Big Frank...will be interesting to follow him.
