Dayton - Saint Bonaventure cancelled. Hopefully Watson was proactive and we are playing Dayton Sunday. |

Then paid close attention to the MVC Beat blog item on SIU from this week. Then I did a cursory look at their stats earlier tonight. Had the lede of the post in my head. So maybe 30 minutes of fun/light study/thinking about the matchup. I don't mind that. It's when I've written and edited and put in the links and formatted and done a re-reading that it sucks. And just to be clear, when I got upset about the late cancellation that time, it was really because the team had already started travelling there before they called it off. (IIRC, the team was in the bus on the way to the airport when the game was cancelled). |

Just read Trib. article where Aher is quoted. Also quoted the Valley statement on Covid rules. Am I the only one finding this confusing? It seems the rules, more than the actual sickness of players is the problem? Who verifies the numbers from each institution, etc…. Schools could elect to play with less than minimum players? Why would they? Even tho I graduated from LUC with a great education I am spinning in the haze here. Any help would be appreciated Happy New Year to all. |

So ISU....Did anyone watch them against Wisconsin?..ISU looks like they have put together a competitive team. Would not be my choice to play after all most a month off. |

I've watched a few of their games. They have a lot of offensive firepower. Scoring 85 points at Wisconsin is very impressive...not sure any Big Ten teams even do that. We will need to guard the 3. Their defense is pretty brutal and they still make a lot of dumb mistakes, but I think their offense is enough to make most of their games competitive and keep them out of Thursday in STL. |

Dayton announced they tried to schedule someone for Sunday, but could not and will not be playing anyone tomorrow. It’s a shame we couldn’t get that game… |
