Wouldn’t it be nice to have TY Johnson on our team this year? He just scored 32 for UC Davis against UW Milwaukee.I sure miss his quickness and smarts on the court.

From what I remember, TY was pretty underwhelming when he had a chance to play at Loyola. Hindsight is 20/20, but it looks like he's made a lot of progress in his game at UC Davis. Also looks like he put on some muscle.

Damezi Anderson is starting at Detroit, and he's made more threes (nine) than anybody on our team.

Well, Ty was short sighted. He did not have faith that he would be playing here. Had he stayed, it would have been interesting. Amezi, I can't figure out that situation. He just never got a chance here.

Was he? He would potentially have another year sitting behind Marquise and Braden ahead of him if he stayed.

Short sighted? Not so fast my friend...One could argue - based on his performance so far - that he made a great move. Different offensive system, slightly lower level of comp. Kids on pace to to be a 2nd team all conf player. If you watch him at all at Davis, it’s really difficult to conclude he shouldn’t have been playing at LU. Could be a painful miss down the road by Drew.

I agree, calling it short sighted is not fair to TY at all. 4 years go quick, I don't blame any student-athlete that wants to go somewhere they think they can get minutes and play.

Speaking of, Paxton Wojcik has been having a solid year for Brown. Put up 18 yesterday in Brown's nice win over Bryant.

This is the new landscape of college basketball. I don't particularly like it but probably fairer to the player. You could see the potential of both Johnson and Wojcik but are getting starters minutes where they are. ....but boy would they have made our bench stronger....Northwestern is missing 3 guys who transferred who are starting at Duke, NC and Indiana... guess we just have to get better at playing the new game.
