Another long time Rambler basketball fan has left us.
John M. Wozniak, retired Dean of the Loyola School of Education died this week. I spotted his obituary in Friday's Chicago Tribune.
I remember seeing Dr. Wozniak at almost every men's home game for several years, and we always said hello to each other in passing.
Finally, after one game I stopped to introduce myself and found out that he was the Dean of the Loyola School of Education. After that we usually exchanged post-game pleasantries and discussed the just-concluded contest. The last time I saw John was a year or two before the Norville Center was constructed.
Perhaps John can team up with Phil McGuire and convince The Almighty to shed a little heavenly grace on the Ramblers.

Very sorry to hear this news. He was a wonderful man and an excellent teacher. He was also the only Loyola professor to teach three generations of my family. My father, daughter and I all enjoyed the classes we took with him. He will be missed.
