There have been similar teams on the same level as this one in the not too distant past. I think the difference here is the fear of losing the last 5 years of momentum

I disagree a little in that even Porter's team that went 1-17 competed. They were at least interesting to watch. Whitesell had two teams in seven years finish in the 200s on Kenpom. We're 219 right now and probably about to drop 20+ spots.

EDIT: We are 240. Would be our third worst finish in the Kenpom era.

Was there a postgame interview?
I’m still bummed about today, but would like to hear what’s going on?
On the surface we are too small and too slow. But not seeing any improvement from game to game. Only way out is to start with defense. Players should value that as much as offensive skills.
Can’t expect Norris and Marquise to be effective when outsized every time out. Do we let our kids learn in real time and hopefully get better or do the same stuff over and over? Dawson and Quinn would add significant height…
