very clever.......I think we will need to put a filter on them... I did a little research on the Camels and it seems that their main man is a 6"9 center. So this is a good example of what the MVC will throw at us with some decent big men. So I am interested to see what we can do to defend a good post. OSbourne is averaging less than 20 minutes a game I believe. With Cody Johnson and Jeremy King not getting a lot of playing time I am still curious how we will defend in the post and how this will effect MVC play. |

I have no idea what SmokeyJoe was talking about.... After reading the game preview and listening to Joe Chrisman I found out that the Camels are "lightening it uP" from the 3 point line(more 3s than Free throws) shooting 36%. Also they run the Princeton Offense. Hopefully Chicago's smoking ordinance will keep the Camels in the pack and not lit up GO RAMBLERS |

Campbell's leading rebounders and scorers are Andrew Ryan 6-5 Jr. and Darius Leonard 6-9 Jr. Freshman Guard Kyre Hamer has come on of late having scored in double figures in each of the last three games. Since this is the middle game of a 3 game homestand a win tonight would get us over the hump(s). We have the Camels on the schedule so we have to play them or as I say SMOKE THEM IF YOU GOT EM' . |

Clever Guys---BUT we have yet to hear from Swella and Walter !! Now then I cannot find odds on our game--I would say we are favored by at least eight--maybe more-- Having said that we MUST PLAY THE GAME--- Brot says LUC 64--Campbell 54-- Hope so anyway.. They will be watching Milton so it is up to the rest--to roll. What do you guys think ?? |

Campbell is 2-4 against D-I opponents, but 4-5 against all opponents (they lost 67-65 at home on Tuesday to Division II Chowan). Their wins are against winless Appalachian State and by two points to Georgia Southern. Dispite their poor record, their RPI is a somewhat respectabile 200 thanks to a schedule that has included Cincinnati, NC State, and NC-Wilmington. They only average 61.5 points a game on offense against D-I, and their high output on the year was 75 points in OT at Georgia Southern. Their 6'9" junior center/forward Darius Leonard (a Kent State transfer) averages 12.2 ppg and 6.9 boards while shooting 53.8% from the field. He plays about 28 minutes per game, takes care of the ball pretty well (13 assists/14 turnovers), and can step out and take an open three on occasion (6 made threes in 19 attempts). Despite his heavy minutes, he's not prone to fouls (22 in 8 games, with only 1 DQ). Junior guard Andrew Ryan averages 11.9 ppg, a lot of it on the strength of 46.5% 3-point shooting. The 6'5" guard is second on the team in rebounds (4.9 per game) and assists (2.2 per game). 6'6" sophomore forward D.J. Mason scores 10.8 ppg, and snags 3.9 boards in an average of 20 minutes per game off the bench. 6'1" freshman point guard Quinton Ray scores only 3.8 ppg, but dishes off 4.4 assists per game. Campbell doesn't get to the free throw line all that much (they've played mostly road games), and when they do get to the line, they shoot only 59% as a team. Guard Kyre' Hamer and forwards Reco McCarter and Antwon Oliver are all under 50% on the year, and none of their starters are better than 70%. There's no Vegas line on this game (yet), but if I had to make a prediction, I'll go with Loyola 75, Campbell 68. |

More really bad interior passing and terrible three point defense. Campbell shooting 38% inside the arc and 63% from behind the arc. Campbell leads 21-18 at the under 8 TO. When will we stop trying to force square pegs into round holes? |
