So is Saturday's game vs Goshen an actual regular season game that counts towards the record and net rankings, or is this some sort of exhibition game? Seems weird to be playing an NAIA school in December. |

It's a regular season game but it doesn't count in the NET. |

On the Goshen athletic site it is listed as an exhibition. I wonder if there is a connection between the Goshen coach who has a lot of experience in the Detroit area and Drew back in the day. Hopefully the team uses the game to clean some things up and get some guys in a rhythm and some playing time for some guys who need some minutes. |

I'll have a preview and game thread in the morning. Ran into some issues that kept me from posting with the usual promptness. But if anyone wants to discuss in the meantime, Goshen is 0-9 this season in NAIA and non-Division I games. In their only game against a D-I team (Ball State, KenPom 257), they lost 101-40. |

That is a sufficient preview. |

In-season games that cross divisions or NCAA vs NAIA are ALWAYS exhibitions for the lower level teams officially and count for the higher-level in terms of record. But obviously don’t factor into RPI, NET, etc. So Goshen is still 0-9 officially. 0-2 out of NAIA (Ball St and Loyola). |
