By and large we kept the large 2nd half lead and then did not relinquish it! That was real good to see.

57 FT% ugh! Let’s double up on the breakfast club except for JQ who hit his 3 FTs. He went to the rim twice successfully tonight. Pretty good all around game for JQ.

7 blocks for the Ramblers to 2 for Davidson. Rubin ,who only had one foul, had 5 blocks. He almost had a double double as he had 13 pts and 9 rebounds. He also played 26 minutes. When he is not in foul trouble, he makes us better.

Sheldon was 3 for 5 from deep, Norris 3 for 6.

Rough night for Dame in the paint, but he should have a good game back at the Joe.

14-3 in conference play is pretty damn good compared to last season.

Saturday against LaSalle should be a good game and lots of fun!

Miles was a monster tonight. Next year this could get scary.

Hey it’s nice to get a road win on the road when you don’t play your best game. This is progress. Thoughts:

1. Ugly: The start to the game was ugly. We looked a step slow, we lost guys in transition and on backdoor cuts. We were fortunate in the first half DC couldn’t make FTs or we could have had a problem.

2. Bad: We kinda got out of our system a little tonight on offense as we had moments of one on one play. We also regressed a bit on TOs tonight. We had 12 of them, but my concern is the TYPE of TOs we had. Many were forced passes and we got into bad areas of the floor with dribbling, instead of popping the ball.

3. Good: The officiating was good. They were not blowing the cheap stuff and let both teams play a little. Miles played clean! Miles played CLEAN! Yes, I repeated it. Miles played 26 minutes today and the results were 13 points, 9 boards and 5 blocks with countless other shots affected. He also brought out his low post game and showed some solid moves. He stepped up on offense and if teams have to worry about him in the low post too, it really will open up options for us. Stats: LUC- 45.3% (24-53), 39.1% (9-23) from the arc and 57.1% (12-21) from the line. The FTs were a major regression and it could have cost us. The defense pulled this one out as we held DC to 38.2% (21-55 from the floor, 31.3% (5-16) from the are. DC shot 70.6% (12-17)from the FT line and they had 11 TOs. The stats were close. We just made 4 more 3’s and that really was the difference in the game. Balanced scoring again. Braden 3-6 from the arc and Edward’s 3-5 from 3. Nice bounce back for Sheldon. Quinn another solid performance and 7 points. Good effort after a slow start. I wish they would have closed a little better. We let a large lead slip to 10 late and some may have been fatigue and Drew slowing the game down a bit, with a couple turnovers late.

Final Thoughts: Miles staying on the floor showed what he could become. We didn’t play our best but won by 10 on the road against a team that been playing everyone tough. DC has only lost a handful of games by more than 5 points all year and two of them were to LU. Richmond won tonight so they are guaranteed the #1 seed in Brooklyn. We are guaranteed the #2 seed based on head to head with Dayton. With that said, let’s finish strong and beat LaSalle. Should Richmond lose, we can get a piece of the Conference title. We will know by the time we play Saturday, but let’s get 2nd place without tying with Dayton and get some momentum.

Saturday is Senior night. Last time checked this afternoon, there were only 1-18 tickets left. The place will be rocking. Let’s send the Seniors off on a high note

Seems like we start a lot of games a little bit too three point happy. Success comes when we go inside, even if it's a drive and kick.

I do not mind the early 3s. What I do mind are 3s that rushed and taken just because they are 3s. We are better 3 shooting team when catch and shoot and are in rhythm and have good balance. We do not have shooters that can contort or shoot it sideways and some of the other crazy positions we try them with.

Chicken or the egg? Does our outside shooting set-up the inside game or does the inside game set-up our 3 point shooting?
