Like the NCAA, it's not strictly NET specific. Loyola is 8-2 in their last 10 games (which used to be a metric used for NCAAs, may still be), and 10 of their last 12. I believe that's the best recent record of the A-10 teams. Loyola also has the best road record (7-4) of any of the A-10 teams.

John Templon has been doing NIT bracketology since the late 90s, I believe, and his latest NIT bracket published this morning has Duquesne, Richmond and Loyola as A-10 teams in the bracket. He figures VCU will win the tournament. He figures Dayton as an at large in the NCAA. He has the Bonnies and St. Joes below us for now.

Memphis has already said they will decline an NIT invite, so that's another bid available. There will probably be another... Just last year, Dayton and St. Louis (IIRC?) both refused (or took their names out of consideration for) NIT bids.

Thanks JCT.

I see this website has us as the last team in @ #1 Indiana State.

That is a winnable game. Then v.s. Butler or Indiana.

#6 Loyola @ #4 Kansas State to face winner of Butler v.s Ohio State (if Butler...back at the Joe!)

#8 Loyola @ #1 Indiana State to face winner of Indiana v.s. Butler (both would be on the road absent an arena conflict)

JCT....as always, you appear to be correct! NIT!

Keep in mind the math. NCAA takes 68 (including play in teams) and NIT takes 32. This means you have 68+32=100 teams. We are 84 in NET and Co-Conference Champions. This should place us comfortably into the NIT. Several NIT bracketology sites have us in, but unseeded as they only seed top 4 in each of the four quadrants of the bracket, meaning only 16 teams get seeded. We should get in. Problem is "bid stealers who fall outside of top 100 in Net.

There are also some teams in the top 100 of the NET that are-- or are in danger of going-- under .500 overall, which has traditionally been a red line for NIT selection.
Penn State, USC, Maryland, LSU, Xavier, and Florida State are all on the bubble (or already out) in this category..... Assuming that they haven't chucked this standard with the new selection rules.

Ole Miss is out of the selection pool.

You could almost build an NIT region with only A10 teams. A10 + MVC for sure.

Well rough day. There was some bid stealing going on in these conference tournaments. The more Poer 5 teams that might get squeezed out of NCAA, may affect us getting NIT Bid. Let’s keep our fingers crossed.
