I know one should NOT deal in comparative scores BUT--Bradley and Aces went down kinda big this evening--Looking at that, we did no do so badly--I say we may--just may be OK by comparison to a couple of other teams.

It looks to me and some others that two of our bigs are the keys-- Thomas and Johnson filled the bill offensively today--Move OLeary to 3 and sit Crisman and Osborne--Will Porter bite the bullet and employ our bigs properly ? You notice Turk did what he was supposed to do.

Maybe . just maybe we will be OK-- I hope PM might agree with us. He could be right with his three and four guard stuff but I doubt it--This is a BIG BOY league

Sure we lost but it was no blow out --on the road. Braves and Aces did worse for sure.

I haven't seen the final score of the Drake/Pimps game yet but did see the halftime score and wasn't surprised. I'm looking forward to seeing Drake with my own eyes to measure them up a bit. Evansville is a one trick pony with DJ Ballentine. They have a good big in Mock but Simmons seems to want to make one guy a star rather than building a team. Colt Ryan put up great numbers and the Pimps never did anything of note.

Bradley is young and they simply quit after UNI made their second run in the first half. Some nice looking freshmen but no on court leadership. UNI was impressive, but how much of that was due to the Gargoyles?

I'm curious to see how you guys do. Even if you lose more than you'd like, if you can remain competitive it may help moving forward. I know people don't like moral victories or whatever, but you have a team that was built for the Horizon stepping up to the MVC. You hung fairly well with the expected number 2 team in the conference and if it weren't for such a sluggish 2nd half start who knows what happens. You'll learn more about your team when you face SIU, Bradley, ISU, MSU and UE. If you can win four or five of the ten games against those I think you're okay. Winning on the road isn't easy so if you can pull one or two out it's a good thing.

Outside of WSU, I've only seen ISUb play once (SLU) and then the Bradley vs UNI game last night. So it's hard to know exactly what to expect with most of the teams.

I guess it wasn't a halftime score I saw of the Drake game. Maybe it was early 2nd half as they'd pulled away. Still, I want to see them play.
