The Loyola Student Dispatch reports:

"Loyola University Chicago saw a 22 percent increase in college applications over the past year, according to ChicagoBusiness.com. The university has invested over $500 million in recent years on new or renovated facilities and continues to spend money to improve campus life."

The more we lose, the more they come!? Is this why most of the students at the Wichita game looked and acted like they'd never been to a basketball game before?

Seriously, this is very good news for the university. They are not planning on increasing enrollment, so the quality of the students should improve. How do we get them into the Joe?

Great news for the value of our Loyola degrees. But in theory, this might make it harder and harder to get students involved. As the average ACT score creeps up, won't you find more and more kids that want to spend their evenings hitting the books? Hope I'm wrong about that, but the best recipe is and will always be a famous Al Davis quote...

I believe you're on to something.

Take GoRamblers, for example. Big fan...
