Its now getting ancient--BUT our stance as the ONLY Illinois team--Di 1--to win the Nat'l Hoops Championship is safe once again. I really wonder if we ever will be replaced on the pedestal. I really doubt it-- WHO has a chance ? Any of the crowd but none have even come close since the GREAT EVENING in 1963-- Only Illinois has shown any spark--and as the ILLINI usually do--they flopped. So next team ?? LUC !! That's who, but not for a long while yet. Bradley, So Illinois and Ill St in that order--with the others far far behind. Times change--but....... GO RAMBLERS GO MVC !!! |

True story Grad but we are both correct--THEY -Illini lasted a while BUT flopped--just took longer that year-- |
