Jane Neufeld served as interim vice president for student development after Rob Kelly's departure, and is now the real deal.

On the organizational chart, the athletic director reports to the vp for student development (although LU86 reports that Thomas Kelly, the Senior Vice President for Administrative Services and Chief Human Resources Officer, is calling the shots on the AD search).

In any event, Neufeld's hire may signal that a new Athletic Director will be named soon, although we've heard that tune before.

Either way, Jane is one of the best people at Loyola and will do great in that role. Glad they made that call!

It's nice to see the Athletic Department lumped in with LUMA, the Pre-school, and Campus Police. If that doesn't show a commitment to athletics, I don't know what does.

Sarcasm aside, that basically means the AD is Kelly's number one priority to run right? It can't be that time-consuming to oversee a pre-school.

Ha, I thought the same thing at first but it looks like he oversees HR and IT also.
