Well, we are pretty well into the season. I would say---
--- Our strengths and weaknesses have been exposed--No secrets -no surprises
-------Well maybe Tulane where we were maybe out coached--maybe.
--- As we said all along--
-------We can score and defend ('cept Tulane)
--- We have nice depth at 1, 2 and 3--interchangeable--This helps Milton
--- Milton is the real deal-No question
--- Thomas--another word for COURAGE with talent
--- KiKi will be 100 % shortly --then look out
--- WE cannot get the Boards--must keep working--our shooting well covers this somewhat
--- As season goes on our t/o totals will drop--even if our up-tempo allows for some--not many
( games will see this shrink as our guys progress)
--- We are getting at least three in double figures game after game--TEAMWORK !!!
--- Our newbies are fitting right in--See Peterson today
--- Defense--Look what happened out of the gate-after the 0-5 hole !! Actually the D decided this baby early

Thes items . I feel are going to get us out of the Valley cellar over Bradley, Drake and Salukis at least

Now then maybe some of you guys , who REALLY know this game better than I do would be kind enough to comment---

After yesterday's games, I think we've relinquished the title of doormat of the MVC-- at least if we can avoid injuries and keep improving the execution on defense.

Indiana State lost to a pretty bad Ball State team after leading by 8 at halftime. Memphis obliterated Bradley, and Drake blew a late lead at home to North Dakota. I thought all three of those teams would be better than they've shown so far.

It's possible to win without being a very good rebounding team, but it cuts way down on the margin for error on every other aspect of the game. Tulane used a really good game plan against us to counter our style of play, and maybe they're not as bad as once thought-- they beat an improved Mississippi State team yesterday.

Isn't it funny how actually playing the games changes pre-conceptions ?? It is becoming obvious that we are better and others are worse.

WOW !! Would our team ever be good--really good, if we had a solid big in the post and Thomas at the 4 ??

Long way to go, but we are getting good . it appears , at last !!!

RANT TIME---The media (digital) was totally underwhelming in their coverage ? of our game yesterday !! Although we were treated to an article on Coach W at Hilltoppers, Warriors , Golden Flashes or whatever they are called--WHO REALLY CARES ABOUT THAT in Chgo except an alum or three ?? DISGRACEFUL !!
