This is a terrible story involving a great University. This is very abnormal for 15 players to transfer in one calendar year. Not to mention 4 asst coaches as well. Let's see how long the powers that be, allow this to continue. Rumors of bullying, constant turmoil. Well it appears the media has it now and will continue to spin it daily so someone will have to intervene. Let's remember the kids are the one's that have gotten treated like this. Imagine sending your kid to college and you have this nightmare happen to your kid. Some parents of former players are posting on facebook, WOW. |

Can you share some of the things they are saying? Perhaps screen shots? LU is in a bit of a catch-22 here. They just enjoyed a bunch of positive press about Swoopes getting elected to the HOF. Now this. |

I am as usual in a fog !! What is Seeing talking about ?? What University ?? Is he discussing LUC ?? I truly hope not !! Bullying ? By whom and to whom ?? Bullying ? I absolutely HATE it ! No ifs and or ands about it. Please advise what is behind these TWO ambiguous posts !!! THANKS !! |

Brot, he's talking about the rumors that Sheryl Swoopes has bullied her players to the point that 10 of 12 are transferring this year. |

Thanks--I think--GO !! Now , of course there are two sides to every story BUT ALL those players ?? Smoke and fire I suppose. If , indeed though , there was bullying AND invasion of privacy, Swopes must go and leave quickly . THIS is Watson's call--after he gets ALL the facts. and BTW , bullying might be an NCAA offense if proven. Theories will abound -- WATSON must get crackin' on this. Moser and the other Coaches must have known about this--or are all the Sports little independent fiefdoms ?? MY school has a huge problem now !!! |

Well, 86, this could be the thing that falls heavily on KEIIY ! It could and maybe should be the problem that does him in. At ANY Jesuit school, IMAGE is THE thing. If I know my Jesuits they will land and land hard on the culprits. If as you say Kelly loves to throw his weight around (no pun) then it is all on him and the other two--Grace is gone so it will only be a black mark on her record. I do believe it is WATSON's time to really take charge. Everybody !! Please keep atop of this for all of us. THANKS I guess . |

I am very disappointed that something like this is happening at Loyola. At this point I don't see any other option besides firing Swoops that is just not acceptable to be doing to the students. I also am disappointed that the athletics department does not have enough control to prevent the comments from reaching Swoops. If a player has a concern and wants to report it they should not be afraid to do that because the information will leak. That should be kept away from the coach it is not that hard. I hope Watson handles this well and gets a hold of the department. |
