Ramblers sports suffered a brutal weekend on the road.

1. Women's soccer bus breaks down on the way to Missouri State.
2. Cross country had a tough time at the Illini open, with the best men's finisher coming in 24th. The women's team finished fifth among seven teams, behind Illinois, Bradley, Northwestern, and Butler.
3. Women's volleyball gets swept in Wichita.
4. Women's soccer loses 2-1 in OT at Missouri State.
5. Men's soccer was facing Central Arkansas (2-11 on the season and 0-4 in the MVC) in beautiful Conway, AR. They allowed an early goal to fall behind 1-0, and then lost a player to a red card while trailing 1-0 with less than five minutes remaining. Only a 90th minute penalty kick allowed the Ramblers to escape with a 1-1 2OT tie in a game they should have won. The tie against the worst team in the league is going to hurt badly when it comes to conference tournament seeding, and Loyola's remaining two MVC games are against 3rd place Evansville on the road and undefeated league leader SIUE at home.
6. Women's volleyball wraped up a 2-game road trip without even winning a set, falling 3-0 at Missouri State-- a team they lost to at home despite holding a 13-8 lead in the fifth set while blowing 7 of the last 8 points.

Two weeks ago, I sent a tweet wondering if the lack of an AD might be affecting the performance on the field. I still don't know for sure, but all the fall sports certainly look a lot worse than they did at the beginning of the season, and they're starting to losing a lot of games they should be winning.
