Exciting, but very close victory over Penn State tonight. It reminded me of a match I saw between the two schools a number of years ago in Alumni Gym. Loyola won a "barn burner" and the fans went absolutely wild! This has developed into a very nice rivalry. |

I wonder if it's the same match I attended around 2010? A 5 set win I believe with a packed house. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6iMillgpkYY I think Joe Smalzer wore a tuxedo at this match. |

It was probably one of the best atmospheres of any Loyola athletic event I attended during college. A close second was almost beating Butler during the 09-10 season. |
